Lorraine has just won a another award in July's SWPP photographic competition! The monthly competition attracts 21,000 entries per year in 32 categories and is open to all members of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers across the world. Lorraine's only entry this month received a bronze award in the "wedding contemporary" category.

Lorraine has a really busy summer coming up with all the portraits, weddings and events she has booked so if you're finding it difficult to get to the studio to chat with her, why not come along and say hello at one of the wedding fairs and events she'll be at:

Lorraine has just won a haul of awards in April's SWPP photographic competition! The monthly competition attracts 21,000 entries per year in 32 categories and is open to all members of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers across the world. Lorraine's photographs received awards in the following categories:

Silver Award - Glamour
Silver Award - Children
Silver Award - Fashion and Beauty
Silver Award - Wedding Photojournalism
Bronze Award - Baby
Bronze Award - Open
Bronze Award - Traditional Portraiture

Mar 2010
Lorraine has been busy working towards her qualifications for the Master Photographers Association (MPA) and is pleased to announce that her panel of 20 images has passed the first stage in her qualification process! Her panel of portrait images was judged by a group of industry experts on the MPA's stand at the country's largest photographic exhibition and trade show earlier this month and passed! Watch out for Lorraine becoming a fully fledged Licentiate of the MPA in the next few months once she completes the next phase of the qualification process!

Another first for Furness! Lorraine & Derek have just got back from a couple of days truly inspirational training with two of the UK's top ten wedding and fashion/portrait photographers. (Our thanks to Gemma, Adele and Mark for modelling in the the pictures)

The Good Wedding Guide
Check out the feature on our real life Bride and Groom Jane and Matt McClure who got married last year in the new 2010 edition of the Good Wedding Guide. July 09 - See how Style Duo Lorraine and Sharon transformed the ladies of Kendal on pages 40-51 of the summer issue of the Limited Edition Magazine. You can also view a pdf of the feature.

May 09 - The Style Duo will be working their magic on the ladies of Kendal this month in time for the Summer 2009 issue of the Limited Edition Magazine! If you're in the vicinity of the Westmorland Gazette's office in Wainwrights Yard, Kendal on May 22nd 2009, you could be plucked off the street and chosen to have your very own Syle Duo Make-over!

April 09 - Watch out for one of Lorraine's photographs on the front page (and inside!) of the new registrars guide to getting married in Cumbria. The guide, entitled "Cumbria & The Lakes - A Special Place for your Wedding" will be out shortly.

March 09 - Lorraine has become a Licentiate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (LSWPP)! This is a recognised qualification from the Society with judging from amongst the most skilful practitioners in the World!
