On the day of your Cumbria and Lake District wedding.....
By the time your Lake District wedding day arrives, there should be very little left for you to do. All the planning, preparation and communication is done, so the wedding day itself should be just about making it all real and for you, your family and friends to enjoy the day!
If you’ve already had our pre-wedding photo shoot then you will know what fun it was and this will be carried through to your wedding day! You will also have an appreciation of how we work, what to expect from us as photographers and feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera on the wedding day.
Whichever of Lorraine’s Lake District wedding photography collections you have chosen will determine how long we will be there for on your wedding day. We can provide photographic coverage from the bride and grooms preparations through to the end of the speeches and all the key aspects in between or for smaller occasions just a photographic record of the more intimate moments as they happen.
Each of Lorraine's Cumbria and Lake District wedding photography collections can be tailored to the unique requirements of the bride and groom (no two weddings are the same after all!) and we pride ourselves on the quality and service of our collections and our ability to interpret your requirements in to beautiful and stunning images.
Our style is relaxed and unobtrusive yet fun! We enjoy what we do and want you to enjoy it too by combining a mixture of formal and informal photographs which reflect the magic and romance of your special day.
We will already have discussed timings for the day and any “must have” or specific images you wish to have captured so you can relax in the knowledge that the wedding day photography run smoothly for everyone involved.
One thing that we will suggest to you before the big day arrives is for you to nominate someone like the best man, maybe a couple of ushers/bridesmaids or anyone who knows both sets of families and friends as someone we can call upon to act as a “people gatherer” when it comes to the more formal shots. After all, they know who’s who more than we do, so if they don’t mind, we’d like to enlist their help!
Just a couple of things to remember at this stage regarding timings:

Most of our bridal couples come to us because they want a fly-on-the-wall photographic record with lots of relaxed and informal photographs of everyone enjoying the day. However, there is always an expectation to have some more posed, group shots. Each of these shots can sometimes take up to 4 or 5 minutes to gather, pose and take the shot, so please allow time if this is something you are considering.

If you are having a greeting line before going in for the wedding breakfast, you will need to consider this in your timings also. If you are the Bride and Groom kissing, shaking hands and being congratulated individually by 60-100 guests, this can take anything from 15mins to 45mins before the two of you get seated!
So there you have it! Your Lake District wedding day is unfolding exactly as you imagined in your dreams – and all you need to do is simply top up your Pimms or grab another glass of champagne, relax and, most importantly, enjoy it all!
